Hi, this is my first blog since I joined VOX two weeks ago. Today, I have the day off due to the Labor Day in USA, and then I have time to share my thoughts with everybody. I don’t know much about blogging or technology but I will do my best.
I have been reading the Linguist members’ blogs and I have found their comments very interesting. I realized that to maintain communication is a good way in order to improve my second language. I also think that this is a wonderful group and a great opportunity to share my experiences and make friends around world.
I had always thought that I would practice my English only when I would have a lot of confidence and vocabulary. But definitely I know now that I cannot learn to swim by standing at the edge of the pool.
I think the avoidance to speak and write is about my fear to make mistakes; it is the same when I am not able signing me up in discussions. I am such a perfectionist person.
But today I have decided to initiate an active participation. My resolution will be” I will put away my fear to make mistakes”. Maybe I have a lot of mistakes in my writing, but for today I want to say “Never mind”.
